Allan Hoffman, 85, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019 at the Medicine Hat hospital. The funeral service will be held in Medicine Hat, AB on Wednesday, May 1 at the Holy Family Parish at 11:00 am.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Emma, his brother Elmer Hoffman and his sister, Isabel Ruhr.
He is survived by his wife Audrey, his children Marlon, Melonie and Jeffrey (Laura), his grandchildren Riley, Ashley and Devonee along with his great grandchildren Blake, Emily and Zayden. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Florence Hoffman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allan was born on June 23, 1933 in Killaly, Saskatchewan and grew up in the Grayson area. As a young man Al worked numerous jobs including farming, pipelining, and heavy equipment operating. He later became self employed and continued to do so for most of his life starting with the Dodge dealership he owned and managed in Whitewood, SK. He also enjoyed fixing, buying and selling cars and had numerous luxury cars of his own throughout the years that he took great pride in.
His life’s journey took him to multiple cities across Canada where he eventually ended up in Medicine Hat for the remainder of his life. Over the years he made many friends and always enjoyed a good laugh and a good cigar. He will be missed by all who truly knew him.
