Tech Tip: Save on your data

Jun 6, 2017 | 10:05 AM

All new phones have a feature that is called Wi-Fi Assist or Smart Switch.  This feature will have your phone switch to using the data through the cell network if your Wi-Fi connection is poor.  Although this can be a great feature to help always have a consistent connection, it can also eat up a ton of data.  If you have lots of data on your plan, then leaving it on probably won’t hurt.  But if you only have a GB or two, make sure you turn it off within your Cellular Data settings.
