Tech Tip: Apple account sharing

May 16, 2017 | 9:17 AM

Don’t share Apple accounts with a spouse or family member.  The way Apple has their accounts set up, your Apple account saves your content, your contacts, and is even used for text messaging and phone calls.  If you share, you run the risk of getting mixed up messages, receiving each other’s calls, or deleting each other’s contacts and pictures.  Get separate accounts, and set up family sharing (right in the iCloud settings) so you can still share purchases with up to five people.
