VIDEO: Change of command at CFB Suffield

CFB SUFFIELD — CFB Suffield officially introduced a new era at the base on Thursday.

The base held a military parade Thursday morning to officially mark the change of command.

Lieutenant Colonel Troy Leifso is taking over the running of the base as of Thursday. He replaces Lieutenant Colonel Mike Onieu, who has been in command since 2017.

In addition to the change of command, there was also a change of appointment for the Base Regimental Sergeants Major. Chief Warrant Officer Marcel Chenier took over from Chief Warrant Officer Paul MacKeigan this morning.
