UPDATE: Crescent Heights collision cleared

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat police say the driver of a scooter suffered minor injuries following a collision Tuesday afternoon.

At 1:44 p.m., police say a Yamaha Scooter driving west on Eighth Street Northeast approached the intersection at Division Avenue Northeast.

A Chevrolet Malibu was travelling east on 8th Street Northeast and turned left in front of the Yamaha’s path, causing the collision.

The Yamaha driver only suffered minor cuts and scrapes. The total estimated damage is $3,000.

The female driver of the Malibu received a ticket for an unsafe left turn.
