Early-bird ticket sales extended for World U-17 Hockey Challenge

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The organizers of the World U-17 Hockey Challenge have extended the deadline for early-bird tickets.

The event, which features some of the top players under the age of 17 in Canada, The United States and Europe, will run in Medicine Hat and Swift Current from November 2-9.

Ticket packages have been on sale since May 15, with the deadline scheduled for June 18, however, the sale of early tickets has been extended another 10 days until June 28.

“We had some minor technical glitches with ticket sales and wanted to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to purchase tickets at the early-bird price,” said Kara Brake, Marketing Director of the local host committee in Medicine Hat. “We are hoping people take advantage of these prices and come out to witness future NHL stars from all over the world.”

The sales have also been extended in Swift Current.

The ticket package for Medicine Hat includes tickets to 12 games at the Canalta Centre (one Exhibition, six Preliminary, two Quarter Finals, and one Semi Final, along with the Bronze Medal and Gold Medal games. Tickets for the full package (fees included) are $180.00 for Adult and $110.00 for Youth (3-17).

For Swift Current, the package includes 12 games at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex (one exhibition, six Preliminary, two Quarter Finals, two placement games and 1 Semi Final). Tickets for a full package (fees included) are $150.00 for Adult and $90.00 for Youth (3-17).

Regular priced ticket sale packages will go on sale on June 29. Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.
