Bensmiller, Nolin, Walters to battle for Medicine Hat ‘Dash for Cash’

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The ‘Dash for Cash’ final has been set with three experienced drivers set to take the start line Sunday at the WPCA Medicine Hat Exhbition & Stampede Chuckwagon Races.

Kurt Bensmiller will take his two-day lead into the final heat after posting a fifth-place time of 1:03.25 on Saturday night to lock down his spot at the top of the leaderboard at 2:05.90.

Joining him in the final heat will be Vern Nolin who finished tied for sixth on Saturday at 1:03.48, and John Walters who rocketed up the leaderboard with a second-place finish on Day 3 with a time of 1:02.65.

Logan Gorst had the fastest time on Saturday at 1:02.15, however he was unable to crack the ‘Dash for Cash’ heat and currently sits in fourth place.

As for 2018 Medicine Hat champion Cody Ridsdale, he will be fighting for just the day money as he sits in 16th spot after two nights of racing.

Bensmiller, Nolin, and Walters will compete for the 2019 Medicine Hat title on Sunday afternoon, with the final day of action getting started at 2:00 pm at the Stampede Grounds.
