Medicine Hat woman facing drug charges

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A 36-year-old Medicine Hat woman is facing multiple drug trafficking charges following a brief investigation.

Nicole Heller has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count each of possession of proceeds of crime and breach of probation.

According to a release from the Medicine Hat Police Service, Heller was arrested on May 16.

She was allegedly in possession of approximately 85.2 grams of cocaine and 28 grams of fentanyl, and a small sum of cash. Police estimate the total street value of the drugs at $23,000.

Heller has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
