UPDATE: Hold and secure lifted at Crescent Heights High School

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The hold and secure at Crescent Heights High School has been lifted.

The report came from the Medicine Hat Police Service shortly after 11:30 a.m.

According to a post from the Medicine Hat Police Service on Twitter, the suspicious package was rendered inoperable by the Explosives Disposal Unit.

The school had been under a hold and secure since approximately 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

While the hold and secure was lifted, a portion of the parking lot will remain blocked off for police to to continue their investigation.
