UCP caucus to be sworn in next week

EDMONTON, AB — The remaining MLAs for the United Conservative Party will officially be sworn in next week.

Ahead of the 30th Session of the provincial legislature, the United Conservative Party caucus will be sworn in for their term at 9 a.m. on May 21.

Cabinet ministers and Premier Jason Kenney were sworn in on April 30.

The province also notes the election of the Speaker of the Legislature, Deputy Speaker, the Chair of Committees and the Deputy Chair of Committees will also take place on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

The Speech From The Throne, which outlines the government’s plans for the upcoming session of the Legislature, will be delivered on May 22 at 3 p.m.
