Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries

Medicine Hat, AB-There was a serious motorcycle accident in Medicine Hat Today.

Around noon, a collision occurred between a motorcycle and a pick up truck at the intersection of South Boundary Road and Southridge Drive SE.

The intersection was closed off for over two hours.

The collision happened after the pick up left the stop sign on Southridge Drive SE into the path of the westbound motorcycle.

Medicine Hat Police released a statement saying that the 61 year old male driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The traffic unit is investigating the collision and charges are pending against the pickup driver. They have confirmed that speed and alcohol were not a factor.
