McHappy Day underway across Canada

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Your Big Mac, Happy Meal or Coffee purchased on Wednesday will be going to a good cause.

May 8 is McHappy Day across Canada. During the day, $1 dollar for every Big Mac, Happy Meal or McCafe beverage sold will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Jason Evanson, Alberta CEO of Ronald McDonald House, says all money raised in Medicine Hat will go towards the new Ronald McDonald House that’s being built near the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.

“Every dollar raised today out of Medicine Hat will support our operation here in Medicine Hat,” he said. “We’re encouraging everybody to come down to a restaurant, and to give in whatever way you can. At the very least, you’ll leave with a full belly, not to mention a good feeling in your heart for the support you’re providing the Ronald McDonald House in Medicine Hat.”
