MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers will be on the clock Thursday morning.

The Western Hockey League’s annual Bantam Draft takes place Thursday in Red Deer. The Tigers will pick 12th overall in this year’s draft.

During last year’s draft, the Tigers picked 11th overall, selecting Cole Sillinger. During the 2018-19 season, Sillinger was called up for four regular season games, and played in all six playoff games for the Tigers, scoring his first WHL career goal during the playoffs. Sillinger is the youngest player in Tigers history to score during the playoffs.

The Tigers drafted a total of 10 players during last year’s draft, including Dru Krebs, Liam Vanderkooi, and Ashton Ferster.
