Mercury to plunge to minus 13 by early Monday in Medicine Hat

CALGARY — Our run of spring weather is about to end.

As much as 30 cm of snow is in the forecast for southwestern Alberta in the mountains and foothills.

However, some forecasters say Calgary could get up to 15 centimeters of the white stuff by Sunday.

The weather system responsible will also bring winds up to 70 kilometers an hour, and that could cause problems for highway travellers.

Medicine Hat shouldn’t see much snow, but it will turn much colder with a morning low of minus 13 in the forecast for Monday.
