Søgaard invited to NHL Scouting Combine

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender Mads Søgaard has been invited to the NHL Scouting Combine ahead of the 2019 NHL draft.

Søgaard, ranked second among North American goaltenders in the final NHL Central Scouting rankings, will attend the annual event, which will be held in Buffalo at the end of May. Fitness testing will take place on June 1.

The top 109 prospects will be at the combine, which usually bodes well for a players’ draft prospects. Based on his ranking, Søgaard will likely be drafted sometime in the first three rounds.

The combine sees prospects participate in fitness testing and interviews with NHL executives ahead of the annual draft.
