SPRINGFIELD, MA – Just weeks after concluding his WHL career, Medicine Hat Tigers blueliner  Dylan MacPherson finally got his shot at the professional level.

Redcliff’s MacPherson made his American Hockey League debut on Friday night for the Springfield Thunderbirds, helping the team to a 7-2 stomping of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

MacPherson was held scoreless in the win, however he finished his night with a plus-two rating and one shot on net.

Earlier this month, the Thunderbirds signed MacPherson to an amateur tryout contract after he graduated from the WHL ranks.

A three-year veteran of the Tigers organization, the 20-year-old MacPherson played in 181 regular season games for Medicine Hat and posted six goals and 43 points over that span.

The Thunderbirds will wrap up their 2018-19 season this weekend with a pair of games against the Providence Bruins.
