MEDICINE HAT, AB — United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenney will be making a stop in Medicine Hat next week.

The United Conservative Party has confirmed Kenney will be in town on Monday for an event at Drew Barnes’ campaign office on Dunmore Road. The event includes a barbecue, and gets underway at 11:30 a.m.

“It’s going to be a barbecue, it’s going to be people, it’s going to be an interesting time to come. And it’s an important time to come and talk to me and Jason. For all people of Cypress-Medicine Hat.” Barnes said. “If you are at all undecided, if you are at all unsure of any part of our policy. If you have a good idea, we could share. Please come.”

Kenney is the first leader of a provincial party to make a stop in Medicine Hat since the election was called on March 19.

“It means a lot. It means that he’s willing to listen to what our values are, what our ideas are, what our needs are. It means that he cares.” Barnes also added.

Albertans go to the polls on April 16.
