A.T.A. Local One Election Forum scrapped; second forum will take place

MEDICINE HAT — The decision by Local 1 of the Alberta Teachers Association to cancel a candidate election forum next week, will not impact another forum planned for next Wednesday.

Prairie Rose Local 2 and the Medicine Hat Catholic Teachers Local 39 are hosting candidates from both Cypress-Medicine Hat and Brooks- Medicine Hat on April 10th.

The candidates will be given 3 minutes to make a statement which will be followed by a meet and greet with those in attendance.

That forum is a week from tonight starting at 7 pm at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country club.

A-T-A Local 1 announced it  cancelled it’s forum planned for Monday April 8th, after U-C-P candidate Drew Barnes declined the invitation and Michaela Glasgo didn’t commit to attending. 
 
A-T-A Local 1 said without the U-C-P candidates it didn’t want to present what it called a narrow perspective to voters.
