MacPherson signs amateur try-out with Florida Panthers farm team

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman, and product of Redcliff, Dylan MacPherson is heading to the American Hockey League.

The 20-year-old, who played his final game for the Orange and Black on Sunday night, has signed an Amateur Try-Out with the Springfield Thunderbirds.

The T-Birds are the AHL affiliate to the Florida Panthers.

It’s not the first time MacPherson is teaming up with the Thunderbirds. The undrafted blue-liner was invited to both the Panthers and Thunderbirds training camp last fall. He received plenty of praise from both organizations before being sent to Medicine Hat for his final year of major junior hockey.
