Advance voting locations revealed for Brooks-Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Advance poll locations have been set for the upcoming provincial election.

Advance voting will take place between April 9 and 13 across Alberta. Elections Alberta has listed the locations where eligible Albertans can cast their ballots in the Brooks-Medicine Hat riding.

-Brooks-Medicine Hat returning office: The building is located at Bay 3 – 775 Sutherland Drive in Brooks. Residents can vote each day from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. from April 9-13.

-Hampton Inn and Suites: The hotel at 2510 Box Springs Boulevard in Medicine Hat will also allow residents to vote from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. April 9-13.

-Bassano Community Hall: Located at 610 2 Avenue, residents are able to cast their ballot from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. from April 9-13.

-Rolling Hills Community Centre. On April 10, votes can be cast at the centre, located at 135034, Highway 875. The hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

-Suffield Community Centre: The centre, located at 328 Third Street, will hold an advance poll on April 11 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

-Hilda Community Centre: Residents of Hilda can vote at the community centre, located at 114 Second Avenue, on April 12 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

What do you need to vote?

In order to vote, you need to be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age and a resident of Alberta, and you must be a registered voter in order to vote.

If you are not on the list of electors, you need to provide government identification that contains your name, photo and current address, such as a driver’s licence or an Alberta identification card. If you don’t have any of those, you can provide two pieces of authorized identification. Both must have your name, and one must have your current physical address.
