Force post back-to-back wins to start Open ‘C’ ringette provincials

MEDICINE HAT, AB – No issues putting the ring in the net for the Medicine Hat Open Force ringette squad, opening Open ‘C’ Provincials with a pair of victories at home.

On Friday night, the Force shutout the Calgary Storm by a 4-0 final before following that up with a dominant 6-1 win over Sherwood Park on Saturday afternoon.

Holding a perfect 2-0 record in round-robin play, the Force sit in first place in Pool B and are one victory away from clinching a playoff spot.

That could happen on Saturday night at the Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre, with Medicine Hat playing host to the Cochrane Chaos at 5:00 pm.

The top four teams will advance to Sunday morning’s semi-finals, while a provincial gold medal will be played for at 1:45 pm at the Hockey Hounds.
