MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat has been forced to close multiple public bathrooms due to damage resulting from frozen water lines.

The following park washrooms will be closed until further notice:

  • Strathcona Island Park
  • South Ridge Community Park

The Parks and Recreation Department says ‘parts have been ordered, but the anticipated reopening date is unknown at this time’.

It’s also worth noting that staff are also working on the annual spring opening of all other remaining park washrooms.

The City believes that due to the recent favorable weather, the remaining bathrooms will be open and ready by the first weekend in May.
