Assessment completed for former broadcaster charged with robbery
MEDICINE HAT, AB β A former broadcaster accused of robbing banks in Medicine Hat has had his psychiatric assessment completed.
The assessment for Stephen Vogelsang, 55, was completed earlier this month, and was to determine if he was criminally responsible on the dates of the alleged offences.
Vogelsang, a former television broadcaster for what is now CTV Winnipeg, was arrested in Medicine Hat in October 2017 and is charged with two counts of robbery. He is alleged to have robbed a RBC branch and a BMO branch in Medicine Hat on October 19 and 20.
Vogelsang is also facing similar charges in Regina and Saskatoon.
