STARS begins fleet replacement in Alberta with new helicopter
ALBERTA — STARS Air Ambulance has introduced a new Airbus H145 in Alberta.
The $13 million dollar helicopter was bought with the goal of improving pilot, patient and practitioner safety, while reducing maintenance costs and training.
“This new aircraft will make a significant impact on the lives of countless Albertans who rely on STARs for critical care and transport,” said Andrea Robertson, President and CEO of STARS.
STARS, who flew over 1,450 missions in Alberta last year, expects the new, medically-equipped chopper to arrive this spring.
