Amber Alert cancelled for Edmonton boy

EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Police Service has cancelled an Amber Alert for an eight-year-old boy.

He was said to be abducted by his mother Friday afternoon, but was found unharmed near Calgary this morning.

Brianne Hjalte(31) was arrested by RCMP and remains in custody. She is now facing a charge of abduction.

The boy will now be returned to his father.
