Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Mar 14

Mad Hatter
Why would photo radar be setup on 1st Street S.W. at 7:45am at beginning of 500 block.  No school near there, no high collision intersection, and no park.  Seems a waste of resources when it could be utilized near a park, school or high collision intersection.

Mad Hatter
My goodness, so much for living in the “Gas City”. Just got my utility statement… I live in an 800sq foot house and my bill is like getting punched in the stomach repeatedly. Why though?!

Happy Hatter
Attendance at the arena has been equal to season ticket sales in the old barn. Sales were counted at season ticket sales & walk ups. Now it is total sales of walk ups. Old barn always had empty seats from season ticket holders who did not show up or give tickets away. Very nice arena. Just wish fans would wait for whistles during play. Stand to the side if you want to visit.

Mad Hatter
Does the City of Medicine Hat care or monitor how a certain company treats people patronizing a local event centre? We have never been treated so rudely!

Happy Hatter
Happy that I’m going to the upcoming hard rock concert, not happy about the continual rerun of senior citizen bands that come here or the abysmal lineup for the stampede.

Mad Hatter
Mad at the intersection under the overpass on 13th – because there is a turning lane that starts before the intersection, I see so many people turning left almost hit cars since they see these vehicles move into the “turning lane”, not realizing it is for the NEXT intersection. Like, come on people, the “turning lane” you apparently think they are using is into ONE WAY TRAFFIC!

Mad Hatter
Opposition must think business people can’t do math because every year corporate rate drops a percent. Four years down the road when the next election is called it will be supposedly 8%. Do remember that election to be called by Feb. So, opposition isn’t bullying the voters to hear/see.

Mad Hatter
How is it a Politian can come to AB and tell us how to make our farm employees safe? You have never worked on a farm/ranch in your life; never have had a job that doesn’t require pushing a pencil. AB was the only province that had no protection for farm/ranch workers thanks to your party.

Mad Hatter
Cell phones do not have a place in learning institutions. There are enough distractions without cell phones. Having a phone is a privilege not a right.

Happy Hatter
For Smiley, that means hiring a team of six Syrian refugees as seamstresses and paying them a living wage of $18 per hour to craft the intricate lace-based designs — some of which take more than 100 hours to complete. She says the wage makes the difference between helping someone pay for food and electricity and allowing their children to participate in music or art lessons. (good to see outfits were made locally. Unfortunate Canada was ignorant to the seamstress & their homeland)
