Hounds dominate first playoff game

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Midget AA Hounds won their first playoff game Thursday night.

The Hounds dominated the Foothills Bisons, winning 8-2 at the Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks.

Carson Dingwall led the Hounds in scoring with a goal and two assists, while Brandon Karsdorf had a goal and an assist during the game. Levi Schlosser, Ryley Manz, Zackery Dovichak, Brady Dovichak, Cam Hall and Jacob Milne added goals for the Hounds through the game.

Ryan Cunniam had a goal and an assist for the Bisons, while teammate Sean Burns added another goal in the third period.

According to the game sheet, goaltender Nate Hoffman made 11 saves on 13 shots faced.

The Hounds return to action tonight against the Lethbridge Hurricane Hounds. The puck drops at 5:30 p.m.

The Hounds will also play the Wheatland Chiefs Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m. The results of the three games will determine placing for the Hounds for the divisional round next week.
