Man sentenced on mischief charges

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A Medicine Hat man arrested in January after multiple vehicle were vandalized on Chinook Drive has pleaded guilty.

Jason Waddell, 43, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of mischief under $5,000 in Medicine Hat provincial court on Wednesday, according to Court Check.

He was sentenced to 66 days in jail, along with one year of probation and a $500 fine.

Waddell was arrested on the afternoon of January 14 after residents in the area of First Street Southwest and Chinook Drive Southwest observed him smashing out windows and mirrors of vehicles parked in the area. He was arrested following a short foot chase.
