RCMP advising against travel west of Calgary

CANMORE, AB — RCMP are reminding motorists to stay of the Trans-Canada Highway near Canmore due to a number of collisions and vehicles in the ditch.

According to a release, road and weather conditions are poor in the area, and RCMP say travellers should expect lengthy delays if they travel in the area, and travel is not being advised at this time.

As many as 40 vehicles are in the ditch, according to Global News.

The highway at Dead Man’s Flats, located west of Calgary, is blocked at the moment, and traffic is being turned around.
