Canadian international Janine Beckie scores winning goal for Manchester City

MANCHESTER, England — Canadian international Janine Beckie scored the winning goal in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Everton in FA Women’s Super League play Wednesday.

Keira Walsh and Nikita Parris also scored for league-leading City. Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah opened the scoring for 10th-place Everton in the 12th minute.

Beckie’s header in the 55th minute proved to be the decider.

City, unbeaten in league play this season, takes on Arsenal in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup on Saturday in Sheffield.
