15-year-old Charlotte Bijman will represent Medicine Hat in professional model competition

Medicine Hat, AB – When 15-year-old Charlotte Bijman woke up this morning, she knew exactly what she was doing.

She was heading to the Medicine Hat Mall for the Future Faces modelling event that was put on by Nobles Management and Patti Falconer Agencies.

What she didn’t know, was that she would be the eventual winner of the event.

“I feel like I could cry any second here,” said Bijamn.  “I’m just so excited and I’m very, very happy.”

The Future Faces event was scouting talent in southern Alberta, looking for the next best model.

“I was not expecting this at all, I’m very surprised. Hopefully I can make this my future career.”

The youngster representing Medicine Hat High School was exactly what the scouts were looking for.

“What can we say about Charlotte,” explained Director of Patti Falconer Model Agencies, Ben Falconer. “She has perfect symmetry, perfect measurements and I personally feel she is going to be an incredible model and an unbelievable sponsor of the mall.” 

Falconer said the work for Bijman begins immediately. 

“She’ll get a photo-shoot done right away and then we’ll begin to market her to international scouts. She’ll also probably do some local ad campaigns and marketing, but at the end of the day, her journey will probably be in Europe or Japan.”

And even though it looks like Bijman will have a bright future in the modelling industry, she will have to strut her stuff to win the Future Faces event. 

“We’ll be hosting the Future Faces finale in May,” explained Owner of Nobles Management, Antonija Klotz. “It’s going to be held May 11th and 12th and we are bringing in an international agency, Elite from New York. We’re going to be recruiting our winners at that time.”

The winners will be selected from Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Red Deer and Calgary. 

Bijman said she’s ready for the opportunity.

 “I’m just very amazed, very shocked. I just love the feeling and I want to be a model.”
