Brooks RCMP investigating firearm theft in Duchess

BROOKS, AB — RCMP in Brooks are looking for help from the public after firearms were stolen from a trailer in Duchess earlier this week.

RCMP received information about the theft on Monday, which occurred at the Duchess Community Centre.

Officers believe an unknown suspect or suspects broke into a trailer parked behind the building between February 9 at5 p.m. and February 10 at 9:30 a.m., removed the lock and stole two firearms and two gun cases.

The rifles stolen were a Savage Axis II 30-06 and a Browning Silver Hunter.
