EDMONTON, AB. — Aurora Cannabis saw a surge in revenues in its second fiscal quarter as its sales accounted for 20 per cent of all marijuana sold across Canada since legalization in October.

The Edmonton-based producer says its net revenues jumped to 54.2 million dollars in the second quarter.

Chief corporate officer Cameron Battley says consumer response to the legalization of cannabis has been strong.

C-E-O Terry Booth says it’s going to take some time before the retail infrastructure improves across the country to provide the level of sales that everybody is anticipating.

Aurora Cannabis is the company building a million square foot marijuana facility in the Box Springs business park.

When complete it will be the largest private sector employer in Medicine Hat.
