Police investigating attempted home invasion in Crescent Heights

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat police are investigating an attempted home invasion that occurred early Friday morning.

According to police, at approximately 4:15 a.m. several unknown males attempted to break into a residence in the Hemingway Crescent Northeast area, according to Staff Sgt. Chad Holt. 

Police say two of the people involved produced weapons and threatened the residents, though they fled the area once they learned police were contacted.

There were no injuries, and nothing was stolen, according to police.

Police do not have a description of the suspects at this time, and the exact number of suspects has not been confirmed. 

The investigation is ongoing, and police believe the residence was specifically targeted, and there is no general risk to the public.
