Brooks RCMP charge massage therapist with sexual assault

BROOKS, AB — RCMP in Brooks have charged a 46-year-old massage therapist after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted during an appointment in December.

According to a news release from Brooks RCMP, they began an investigation on December 21, 2018, after a 20-year-old woman alleged she was sexually assaulted throughout the course of a massage that day.

Following an investigation, Jay Castelo, 46, has been charged with one count of sexual assault.

Castelo was released from custody with conditions, and is scheduled to appear in Brooks Provincial Court on February 13.

RCMP are not releasing any more information about the case, noting the case is now before the court.
