Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Feb 7

Mad Hatter
It makes complete sense to have the consumption location downtown. I realize it may not be the ideal location, but it isn’t on 2nd or 3rd street either.  This site is close to other supports in the community as well.  Is it ideal, no, but it needs to be close enough it will get used. This problem with drug use isn’t going away.

It amazes me how careless some parents can be regarding their children’s safety when crossing the road. Specifically going to and from a certain dance studio near North Railway and Prince. STOP jay walking and darting between parked vehicles! You are just putting your kids at risk to save yourself 50 steps. It’s not a matter of if a kid gets hit, it’s a matter of when.

Happy Hatter
Kudos to Crescent Heights High on an AMAZING performance of Newsies! The singing, dancing, acting – it was all wonderfully executed. The live band was also a much-added joy. Don’t often get that anymore. Can’t wait to see what they bring in next year!

What is it about white trucks and minivans acting like they are all that? Every time I see a vehicle weaving in and out of traffic or tailgating it’s always either one or the other. Because of you fools on the road, I will never ever own a minivan or a white truck because I’d want to vomit getting into it everyday.

To the person complaining about the safe site consumption hours: It’s a place for people with a problem to safely consume. Most of these people aren’t getting their “fill” until later at night I’m sure. Even then, having longer available hours allows a bigger window for these people to make use of the site! Personally, I don’t see these people going to these places for this, given they want comfort of their homes and not to have people and even more so the police, knowing of their illegal activities.

Interesting conservatives don’t share this news of Alberta government in 1974 august 1 entered the airline business by acquiring controlling interest in Pacific Western Airlines (PWA) — the B.C.-based air carrier which did about 75 per cent of its gross revenue in Alberta. The acquisition by Lougheed was the country’s third biggest airline cost the government an estimated $36 million.

Why not continue the Bylaw issue. 24 hours is plenty of time to get out and shovel your walks. I have encountered many properties that probably don’t own a shovel as it’s never shoveled. To the garbage cans, same thing. 24 hours is plenty of time! To the person saying such a first world problem…have you tried parking on a street that has pick up on the street? Parking is already a problem in many areas so someone being lazy with their garbage cans is unacceptable.

Happy Hatter
Wonder if either or both funeral homes within downtown area gave us all notices on there business relocating? Both are located in very inconvenient places. They stop/redirect all traffic whether we are to stop or not. Both should have been placed out by the cemetery.
