MEDICINE HAT, AB. — A 37 year old man from Cypress County has been charged, after a blood alcohol reading that was more than 4 times the legal limit.

City police started getting complaints about an erratic driver in east bound lanes of the Trans Canada highway in the Kin Coulee dip, about 10 minutes to 4 yesterday afternoon.

They found the driver and obtained a breath sample showing a blood alcohol reading of point 33 — 4 times the legal limit of point zero eight.

The man received a 15 month Alberta Administrative licence suspension and his vehicle was seized for 3 days.

He’s been released on a promise to appear in court, possibly next week.
