MHPS arrest two people following residential break and enter

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) have a man in custody following a break and enter Friday night.

Around 10:40 p.m, officers responded to a call in the 500 block of Belfast Street SE.

Upon their investigation, it was determined a man wearing dark clothing entered the home, which was occupied by a 13-year-old boy.

Police say when the suspect came into contact with the child, he exited the house. 

A small amount of personal property was stolen during this incident.

Members of the MHPS were able to identify the suspects through video surveillance and eye witness accounts.

Saturday, police arrested and charged a 30-year-old woman for Break and Enter.

Earlier today (Sunday), a 49-year-old male was arrested for Break and Enter, Breach of Probation and Disobeying a Court Order.

The woman was held in custody for a bail hearing and subsequently released from custody.

The man remains in police custody awaiting his bail hearing.
