Brown nets a pair as Tigers remain perfect against Rebels
RED DEER, AB — The Red Deer Rebels just can’t solve the Medicine Hat Tigers.
In five games head-to-head this season, Red Deer is pointless against their Central Division rival. The Tabbies 5-3 victory on Friday night also condensed the divisional standings even tighter.
Medicine Hat leapfrogs both Red Deer and Edmonton into a tie for first place in the Central with 58 points. Lethbridge and Edmonton also have 58 points, albeit the ‘Canes have one game in hand while the Oil Kings have one fewer game remaining. Red Deer is one point back of the log-jam for top spot and sit in the Eastern Conference’s first wild-card spot.
In five games this season, Medicine Hat has now outscored Red Deer 26-10.
