EDMONTON, AB — Alberta Health Services is looking for new volunteers for Health Advisory Councils throughout the province.

The organization announce recruitment for new volunteer members for local Health Advisory Councils, and for the provincial advisory councils on Cancer and Addiction/Mental Health.

Terms for members run for three years. For the Cancer and Addiction/Mental Health councils the province says the position is ideal for those who have lived experience with cancer, addiction or mental health matters.

Health Advisory Councils consist of a maximum of 15 volunteer members, who meet between four and five times per year.

Albertans over 18 years of age interested in joining the councils are asked to submit an expression of interest form, which can be found online at www.ahs.ca/ac.

The deadline for submissions is February 1.
