Rattlers prove to be Lion tamers with pair of victories at home
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Everything seemed to be dropping for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Medicine Hat College on Saturday night, trouncing the Ambrose University Lions in a pair of games.
The Rattlers men’s team dominated the floor against the Lions in the late game, shooting 52 percent from the floor to take their second game of the weekend with a 107-71 victory.
Holding just an eight point lead at halftime, the Rattlers exploded for 31 points in the third quarter led by a combined 18 points from Jaamel Slack and Kieron Burgess.
The trio of Slack, Burgess, and DShawn Tyrell all crossed the 20 point threshold, with Tyrell leading the pack with a 24-point night.
