Pair charged after nearly $16,000 worth of methamphetamine seized

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Two Medicine Hat men are facing several drug charges after nearly $16,000 worth of methamphetamine and a small amount of fentanyl were seized in Medicine Hat.

Dustin Stubbins, 31, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, while Alan Glebe, 54, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl.

The pair were arrested on Wednesday following an investigation that began earlier in the week. Officers seized 263 grams of methamphetamine and 0.2 grams of fentanyl following a pair of traffic stops.

Police are reminding residents that they can assist with the root causes of drug crime and report concerns and suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhood by calling the Drug Tip Line at 403-502-8909.

Signs of drug trafficking can include vehicles coming and going at all hours of the day and night, and only staying for short times. Other signs include abandoned vehicles near the area in question, often with some form of damage, as well as garbage, litter or discarded needles near the residence in question.
