MAPLE CREEK, SASK. — Maple Creek RCMP are continuing to investigate after a man was found dead on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway last week.

The man was found on January 5 on the side of the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway, roughly seven kilometres from the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. The man has been identified as a 58-year-old man from Metcalfe, Ontario, following tips from the public. A name was not released.

Investigators believe the man was struck by a vehicle between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m on January 4.

RCMP are still investigating the man’s death, and are asking for information from motorists who observed vehicles with noticeable damage heading east on the Trans-Canada Highway at that time.
