Bandits run win streak to 10 with 5-2 home win over Canmore
BROOKS, AB – The Brooks Bandits (34-3) notched their tenth consecutive win, and stayed undefeated at home, with a 5-2 win over the visiting Canmore Eagles on Saturday night.
The Bandits got five goals from five different goal scorers, while goalie Tanner Marshall (Kelowna, B.C.) stayed undefeated stopping 19 of 21 shots to move to 5-0 in his Bandit career.
Jakob Lee (Owen Sound, ON) forced a turnover behind the Canmore net and centered the puck to captain Nathan Plessis (Salmon Arm, B.C.), who opened the scoring in the first minute for the second straight game, tapping the puck home backdoor just 37 seconds in to make it 1-0 Brooks.
At the 11:24 mark, Simon Gravel (Boucherville, QC) batted down a Jordan Di Cicco (London, ON) point shot, and tapped it into the net from the top of the crease to double the Brooks lead with his team-leading 24th goal of the season.
