Freezing drizzle advisory issued by Environment Canada

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Environment Canada has issued a freezing drizzle advisory for Medicine Hat and the surrounding area.

The advisory, issues at 11:13 a.m., says freezing drizzle is expected or occurring in portions of southeastern Alberta, including Medicine Hat, Brooks, the County of 40 Mile, Cypress County and Special Areas No. 2

Conditions are expected to improve Thursday evening in the Brooks region and late overnight near the Saskatchewan border as the cloud moves east, according to the advisory.

Environment Canada is reminding motorists to slow down while driving in slippery conditions and maintain a safe following distance.
