MEDICINE HAT, AB — Members of the Medicine Hat Police Commission members were given an update on cannabis at Thursday’s meeting, along with stats which show the number of arrests made before marijuana was legalized on October 17th.

The report shows that between January 1st and October 16th, officers conducted 17 standardized field sobriety tests on drivers who were suspected of operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs.

10 of those drivers failed the test and were arrested for impaired driving.

The report goes on to say that of the 10, six were evaluated by the drug recognition expert and all six failed.
