Wind warning in effect for Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, AB – Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for much of southern Alberta and that includes Medicine Hat and the surrounding area.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected to occur throughout most of this morning.

Winds are anticipated to gust around 90 km/h and should weaken later this afternoon.

There is potential for damage to such things as windows and shingles on your home.

High winds may also toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Environment Canada is advising residents to be prepared to adjust their driving habits accordingly.
