MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Police are investigating a suspicious death.
Officers were following up on a missing person’s report on Thursday, when they discovered a man’s body in a residence in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast at approximately noon.
Major Crimes have determined the man’s death was suspicious.
CHAT TV has learned the body is that of a man who reportedly went missing on December 9.
A woman identifying herself as the man’s sister posted on Facebook that her brother was found dead in an apartment on Thursday. The discovery came after they reportedly located his car with the last person he was seen with.
Police will not confirm the connection at this time.
The man’s body has been sent to the medical examiner in Calgary where an autopsy is being performed. More information is expected to be released once the autopsy has been completed.
