“Untimely death” under investigation by Medicine Hat City Police

MEDICINE HAT, AB. —  A check on a missing person led police to the discovery of a man’s body.
 
It was at a residence in the 400 block of 5th Avenue South East around noon yesterday.
 
Members of the Medicine Hat City Police Major Crimes are investigating and have said the death is suspicious in nature.
 
The man’s body has been sent to the Calgary Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
 
Police say there are no public safety concerns regarding this incident at this time, and are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

MEDICINE HAT, AB. — Medicine Hat city police say there will be more information coming later today, about what is being called an “untimely” death.
 
Details are lacking on exactly what happened, but a witness tells CHAT NEWS that tenants in the Mayfair Manor downtown heard a bang and that a body was removed from the building sometime afterward.
 
A police news release is being prepared for later today.
