Announcement planned for Medicine Hat’s Cancarb facility

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A major announcement is set for Wednesday afternoon regarding the Cancarb industrial plant in Medicine Hat.

Details about the announcement are scarce, but many high profile stakeholders of Cancarb will be in attendance on Wednesday.

They include Mayor Ted Clugston, Hajime Nagasaka who is CEO of Cancarb’s parent company Tokai Carbon, plus Cancarb president Ken Tate.

Tokai Carbon purchased Cancarb for $190 million back in 2014, acquiring the assets of the local carbon black producer.
